Our Founder and President, E.J. “Edge” Simonsen initially visualized the Home Solution Counselors concept as “Saving Homes and Saving Families.”  E.J. has been heard weekly, during Monday morning drive time from 7:00-8:00 on both CNN & CBS Radio on 650 AM in the Houston area or at http://www.talk650.com/ for over two years.  E.J. counsels the public on various options when facing tough mortgage situation.  In 2001, E.J. “Edge” Simonsen started the first HomeVestors® “We Buy Ugly Houses” franchise in Fort Bend County, Texas.  It quickly grew into the 5th largest office in the USA.  From Rookie of the Year, to induction into the Hall of Honor for HomeVestors of America®, he and his staff evaluate thousands of tough family situations.  E.J. serves on the Leadership Counsel of Epiphany Lutheran Church, teaches Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, is both a licensed Real Estate Broker and Mortgage Broker, and holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the University of Houston.  E.J. is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission (#581215), the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending (NMLS#322000) and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation of For Profit Legal Services (#86702).

As Vice-President, Mike Baker is responsible for strategic planning and managing the company’s growth mission and operational objectives.  Prior to joining Home Solution Counselors, Mike spent 17 years in the technology industry, holding various sales and sales management positions with IBM, Symantec and Hewlett-Packard.  Mike is also the managing partner in a property tax lending business and holds a BBA-Finance from the University of Houston.  Mike is licensed as a REALTOR by the Texas Real Estate Commission (#599222), as a Lender by the Office of the Consumer Credit Commissioner of Texas (#13873) & as a Mortgage Banker by the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending (NMLS#322002) and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation of For Profit Legal Services (#86703).

Senior Loss Mitigation Counselor, Ron Glaser is responsible for obtaining a satisfactory resolution for his clients and their REALTOR®.  He engages with the banks directly and is meticulous about making sure everyone is informed during the process.  Prior to real estate Ron worked for Chrysler for 15 years.  Ron moved to Houston from Michigan, where he enjoyed success as a REALTOR® with Keller-Williams, he then decided to take up full time the cause of helping families avoid financial disaster.  Ron a licensed REALTOR®, and active Lay Minister (Elder) at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church, revels in solving difficult and demanding foreclosure situations.    Ron holds licenses from the Texas Real Estate Commission (#575445) and the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending (NMLS#350805).

Senior Loss Mitigation Counselor, Greg Tidmore works tirelessly to deliver the best possible resolution for his clients and their REALTOR®.  He is a seasoned and skilled negotiator whom has handled over 400 real estate closings.  Greg is a life long Houstonian, real estate investor, and active Elder at Second Baptist.  Previously to joing HSC, Greg has served as COO of a “We Buy Ugly Houses” franchise (HomeVestors of America®) as well as General Manager of a RE/Max franchise.  Greg is a licensed REALTOR® as well as a: Certified Distressed Property Expert, Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource Expert, and a Certified Negotiation Expert as well as holding a Bachelors Degree from the University of Houston and Master’s Degree from the University of St. Thomas.    Greg holds a license from the Texas Real Estate Commission (#559789) and the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending (NMLS#475822).
